Im having this same issue, 1/2 the time the volume is right and 1/2 the volume is way low and will eventually ramp up loud or I have to mess with the volume setting a notch up or down for it to sync.

Is a MCU update the reason for this?

It's possible, i have this problem since i installed the last MCU (191129). I don´t known if i can return to other old version.

Merry Christmas!!! I guess we will find out what our options are soon.. Its a pain, If you turn the volume up to compensate and dont realize it was in this lower mode it will all the sudden goto extreme loud and scare the crap out of you.

Any recommendation for aftermarket rear camera? Bought some fisheye camera with MCCD sensor advertised as HD. I'm not satisfied with quality, its not HD.

Also, I have front PDC. When I put in reverse, PDC is activated. When I put in 1st gear, camera screen will disappear but original PDC is still active. I want behavior like original PDC. Can this be done somehow?

I've experienced this a couple of times ... I believe this part of the "music app syndrome", where the built in music app has to be opened to start a service of some kind, which is necessary for proper sound functioning.

Same behavior here. I have an ongoing conversation with the seller to solve the issue. This is working on some cars, so it should be possible to fix. In worst case it might be possible to solve this by using the PDC button to trigger a 5-12 V relay, and connected to the DET cable.

Also i see that are some audio problems with last version, it is ok to go or should i choose one before? The unit is with Android 9, 4g/64g/LTE.

You don't need to choose anything . If you want to update system(Android) , just put the zip file in the root of USB flash drive . Unit will detect the update and start after you agree.
I guess you have Andream unit , and you don't have an update file for MCU - because they don't really provide updates for MCU.
So you can only update system.

Romanian - Am aceeasi unitate ca tine . Daca nu ai probleme majore de functionare, nu fa update. Nu cred ca o sa aduca mare lucru in plus, si se pare ca ultimile update-uri cer si update de MCU, pe care nu sunt sigur ca-l ai. Unitatea mea s-a stricat din cauza Magisk si am trimis-o la reparat - dar singurul inconvenient era ca nu facea trecerea audio-aux automat. Eram tot la 2.8.3 .

Using PDC button was also my idea, but I'm really tired of disassembling the car trims. Even with camera cable I'm worried if 12V wire is too thin and if there is fire hazard risk.

Original PDC works great withoud DET cable, so there must be bug in MCU when dealing with camera screen. Do you have latest MCU firmware? I didn't update mine.

Are any of you using an iPhone with a snapdragon unit? How does the bluetooth connection work, any problems? I will be buying a new phone and thinking about buying an iPhone 11pro. I saw some problem that when playing music through Spotify on this snapdragon device any sound (e.g. blocking the screen, sending sms or other incoming connections) from the iPhone paused the music (and you need to manually start music again).
If there will be any problem i think I should stay with android phone.

The risk of Bricking with root is very minimal, to brick it with magisk /xposed is larger ...

Yes, I have the latest MCU (191129) and still have this behavior. I try to convince the Chinese that this is a problem for many users, and that it can and should be fixed. I think I'll give the Chinese 4-6 months to fix this before I try the relay route.
