Right now i'm just screwing around with the stock turbo testing out the HPFP until my Pure 800 gets here. I'd like to shoot for stock turbo record (I think its like 501 or 505whp?) on our car before I get my Pure on.

B58 Log Review Thread
Your IAT looks about normal. Mine end up around 90 in colder weather. A lot of people including me end up 100f or more, temperature dependent.

MG flasher, stage 1 e30 tune, blend is about e25. Getting low rail pressure fault code when cruising. Any ideas? Trying to burn off some of fuel so I can add regular gas.
Error happens near end where you can see target jump dramatically. https://datazap.me/u/instigatorx/log...&solo=6-29 Thoughts? Is my blend too high? |

I'd try re-flashing the car, maybe back to stock and then the tune back in again. If still a problem go back to the tuner. If they can't sort it out switch to MHD or BM3?

Maybe post a WOT log so we can better see how it's running. Also, try logging in sport mode with the more sensitive throttle and see if that is any different. |

EDIT: if I drive in manual and keep rpm up I don't get the fault. You need to contact MG Flasher or whoever provided the tune for your car. For auto cars with ZF8 auto box cruising is normally in the 1000 - 1500 rpm range even in 6th - 8th

Are you going to need a bigger HPFP for your Pure800? You're getting a little dip at peak torque in these logs

As for the HPFP, we'll see. More than likely i'll end up with the Dorch Stage 2 pump. When I bought the Stage 1 they said if I needed more fuel they'd exchange mine for a Stg 2. I might try to push the Stage 1 on the Pure800 before getting the upgrade, that way we can have some data and see how much the Stage 1 is capable of. EDIT: What I don't understand is why ever since we increased mid range boost it has dropped off so hard up top. If you look at an old log from before I had the HPFP (E30 + Meth), it only dips down to 19PSI, not 17. https://datazap.me/u/richmichael97/w...=0&data=5-7-24

So I did some testing tonight, and decided to do some datalogs with and without meth. I haven't really used my meth kit since going upgraded HPFP since I didn't really need it anymore, but anyways.
Here are the results (click the images to be directed to full datazap log) 3rd Gear (NO METH): Result: At 6700 boost is only hitting 17PSI although target is 22.2PSI. Also slight timing correction, but nothing serious. 3rd Gear (WITH SPRAYING METH): Result: At 6700 boost is now hitting 19.7PSI while targetting 22.7PSI. Zero timing corrections. Not sure why the car isn't holding that boost with the HPFP on E50 alone, but I plan on discussing my findings with my tuner. Is anything else changing with meth? IATs, AFR, etc? Edit: didn't notice you could open the log. Looks similar except fuel trims plummet (as expected).

I've always had this weird hang when shifting between early gears (JB4 Map 3, auto). Is that something that can be seen and the culprit deciphered with looking at a log? The hang I'm referring to is shifting at WOT and in while the car shifts, it hits what feels to me like lag. Makes my head literally rock forward b/c of it. Don't know if its throttle closure, fuel limitations, or just really long shifts.
