Hello,

do you know if it will be visible for my dealer if I have pulled the fuse off for a couple of hours? If so, is that in the form of a log with a timestamp or maybe an error code or maybe both?

I removed fuse no. 32 in my F32ix to have fully RWD vehicle for some time and now I am afraid it will be visible in the car computer and my warranty might be voided....

Wondering what to do now before visiting Dealership

If it threw error codes then it might show up in error history but I'm not speaking from experience so I could be wrong.

Isn't xdelete a better alternative?

sure it will threw errors, i am going to delete them, but is there any other history, log timestamp with mileage or anything that can be tracked?

A dealer isn't going to look for reasons to deny a warranty item if you're not going in for warranty service.

No they won't see anything other than if there was a code (which you're gonna delete)

Plus if you're not there with a fuse issue then they don't care and won't be that petty anyways.

They would only void your warranty if lets say your resonator needed service and you had aftermarket exhaust parts then they wouldn't fix your resonator and blame it on the mods you've done.

What are you having done? Dealers won't be snooping for something unless warranty work is being done.

Thats the thing

If i proceed with warranty claim, can they find out that I removed fuse for some time in the past if I delete error codes before visiting dealer?

Simple answer is no

Don't worry about it. If you cut wires and had an issue, then they could deny things. The fuse is customer facing, so there isn't much they could say or do about that.

Think about it a different way: If that fuse blew, and you didn't know about it, then what would they say? Nothing.

I'm not sure why people want to do this anyways. BMW x-drive is substantially rear biased under normal conditions for fuel efficiency (80% to the rear I believe). Unless you are looking to do donuts I suppose.

I believe it's 70 to the rear and 70% to the rear don't do donuts

Actually 60% rear, 40% front under normal circumstances

@mckk - so, after a second thread on the topic, do you mind actually sharing whether you succeeded to enable RWD-only and how the car felt?

Thanks for the correction, you are correct. It can do 100% to one axle as required as well.

True but not very precise 100% not possible to either axle, only to the rear

To summarise, the power distribution can be anything from 50:50 to 0:100 front-rear.
The max torque you can transfer to the front axle is 50%. The max to the rear - 100%
Default is 40:60.

To clarify, as I was away for a while... =)

Pulling off the fuse no. 32 is not recommended. I have been warned by xDelete creator:

with pulling the fuse the clutches in the transfer case will not open completely (how could they with a pulled fuse) and the friction resulting because of this will kill the clutch pack and burn the oil of your transfer case. And the F-series transfer cases are known to be very weak already, so this is most likely a short lived experiment.

So the only way is to use xDelete to be safe. Otherwise, you might end up with broken transfer case

I am waiting for cables so then I will be able to give you some more feedback.

I tried with DSC off (yes I pressed the button longer to completely turn off ESP) but I am still not sure whether im a complete newbie in that or is it really hard to get that 430ix into sliding. Front wheels are so strong...

I tried to do some sliding with 100% RWD (after pulling fuse) and yes... it was way way easier and better
