Same here. I went through 3 test maps with Halim with no real improvement. I sent him the log from test map 3 on Monday and haven't' heard back from him. I switched back to v6.4.

HCP is Halim's side gig. I believe HCP is his initials. Halim and Dzenan started Pro Tuning Freaks (PTF) who developed bootmod3 but they also both tune. So yes, the OTS maps are made in house either by Halim (HCP) or Dzenan.

Ok guys I have a charge pipe and TIC pipe ready to go on the car along with exhaust on the 31st. Appt is set with the shop. I've also got all my bootmod3 stuff ready to go. Would you wait and flash to stage 1 after install of hardware just to make sure you don't blow a CP or something in the meantime?

Yes wait. Stock CP is a ticking time bomb.

Also, highly recommend getting an intercooler... although i guess technically that is easy to install yourself even after you have the TIC and CP installed. Not sure why you opted for a TIC but not an IC?

Also, i would recommend logging before your CP+TIC install, after your CP+TIC install, and then after the install and flashing the tune. That way, if you are seeing something off (mostly boost off target because of a leak), you know when it happened.

Hey guys, having issues getting this to work. I've downloaded the agent to my Mac, but it won't run.

It says “bootmod3 OBD Agent Installer__0.10.092.app” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software. This software needs to be updated. Contact the developer for more information."

Any ideas? I'd like to do some logging but the agent won't run.

Edit also, I am using my android phone and the wifi agent and can connect, but my dashboard is blank, and I can do no data logging. It says it's not configured if I hit the + sign it is asking me for channel numbers. The dropdown is blank. Looking at the tutorial it seems as if this dashboard auto populates as they went through no setup and it was all just there.

seems like your anti virus is blocking something?

there is a way to allow 3rd party equipment to be installed and run on mac, google that real quick should help you out.

I don't have an anti virus. And yes I install stuff on my Mac all the time, much of it third party.


Edit: it wasn't the firewall or antivirus, both of those are shutoff. It was oddly enough the more stringent file checking in the new OS. I was able to get around it.

Now on to fixing the dashboard issues

but unless u have that feature turned off, it will keep interfering(this is my guess on what is happening) otherwise you have to do it manually each time for the Operating system to install whatever you just downloaded.

It is turned off, but the OS still forces the check, I've added the app to the approved list, an extra step. Appreciate the help!

ya mac is funny like that, BUT i think thats the hold up, it should allow you to install.

Make sure the agent is up to date and let the logging begin!

Having issues. The agent on my phone through the OBD wifi box won't allow me to see any dashboard settings or data logging settings. However, on my laptop I can see the dashboard and add things to the dashboard and create data logs.

If I do this and then log back in through the phone I can see the data logs but can't create them or see dashboard items.

Items to note: I have reinstalled BM3 on my phone, I have unplugged the negative battery terminal on the car for 10 minutes, have updated the agent twice and restarted, still no dice on the phone. Probably need a help ticket.

yes this sounds beyond the scope of what i know...

truth be told im new to coding as well...however i didnt have any of these issues with the app. The gauges came up although i didnt try to change any of them as im still learning what is what... and i had no issues logging either, the only issue i did have was the copy link to share my data log, but i found a work around for that.

FYI i am using an iPhone with the obd wifi agent connected via enet cable.

reach out to PTF they are quite responsive atleast from my experiences..keep in mind its the weekend so the response might not be as quick. or even until Monday.

How is everyone finding the v7 maps (the FB bm3 page seems to be littered with issues with regards to v7) I have been dailying the stage 2 91 map and haven't picked up any issues, so far logs look good. Low range torque seems to be ever so slightly better, however not sure if its placebo but i think there is still a faint bit of hesitation.

I will be running stage 1 and 91 octane but haven't downloaded the map yet. Looks like I have a couple options of 91 octane stage 1.

There are numerous people here who ran into issues (e.g., overboost, HPFP crash, etc) - just check this thread, the BM3 v7 thread, and i think the "do these look good" thread. I think a lot of people switched back to 6.4

Phantom10R and JaredG_F30 including myself have had some issues all on V7.0 we switched back to V6.4

Yep... Hard pass on 7.0 for me right now.

Whats funny is, from a roll im okay. fuel pump and boost looks good through the gears.. but a solid single gear low rpm fuel all hell breaks loose.

Im gonna wait and see if any more revisions come out or when the weather warms up here Im gonna try again and see what the logs say. I think there was a guy in Puerto Rico who had decent luck with 7.0 but its warmer there.

Can someone explain what the difference in the Octane is between the tunes? How would I know if I need the 91 octane map or the 93 octane map?
