F30 Cosmetic Mods?
Hey Yall,
Considering I probably wont be tuning my 320i till after the warranty is done, I wanted to take your input on what cosmetic changes to go with. Im not trying to turn it into an M3 replica just want to give it a meaner look and have it stand out especially with the glacier silver paint. * I already added the bmw projectors and the ambient lighting strips which are hands down a must imo What I have in mind (in order roughly): - Wrapping grey interior (might go matte black or carbon, throw in other ideas) - M mirrors (only part I promises lol) and sequential turn signal - Side skirts (have nothing particular in mind, any links would be helpful) - New wheels definitely, looking for under $1,000 - Coilovers (or other to lower the car) After warranty - BM3 stage 1 - Downpipe - Halogen to Xenon* retrofit Would love to hear your opinions and setups Last edited by F30Unit; 01-30-2020 at 04:17 PM.. |

You're on the right path. Im also glacier silver base model (Pre LCI). The first exterior mods I did were performance style spoiler, swapping chrome surround kidney grilles for gloss black and swapping mirror covers for non M sport style carbon fiber covers. Those 3 pieces can be had for relatively cheap, easy to install, and make a pretty big difference in the look.
Other things to consider: -Form fitting floor mats -Illumintated LCI style radio trim (if Pre LCI) -DEPO LCI style tail lights (if Pre LCI) EDIT: If looking for a good deal on wheels, I believe there is currently a group buy going on for Apex EC-7 and ARC-8. Check the sponsor classifieds here. I got in on this same buy last year and picked up the EC-7s for $200 off MSRP. |

Msport bumpers make a HUGE difference in the appearance. Much more aggressive.
Additionally, some color matched bumper reflectors, spoiler, diffuser, front lip, Blackline Tail lights just to name a few. Check out my YouTube channel. I bought an F30 335i last summer and have been doing little cosmetic mods since purchase. Lots of DIY content. Maybe it will give you some additional ideas! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCK6..._as=subscriber

The lip spoiler definitely, should do thanks for reminding me on that, and the M front bumper seems to be pretty favored on this forum. |

gtting it at some point. Diffuser and front lip seem more doable, and definitely gotta change the rims. Any experience with wheel spacers? For a more aggressive stance? Since the car isn't really quick I'd rather it look nice 😅 |

Yep! Ive had multiple sets of wheel spacers in my day. I don't have any specifically on my F30, but I do have some on my M3. I'm not sure what most people run on the F30 - kind of depends on what your wheel/tire setup is. If you plan to buy aftermarket wheels/tires, get proper sizes so that you dont have to buy spacers
