Hey guys,
Just wondering are there any other ways of repairing the license plate holes other than the known bondo bumper, the ugly bumperclip.

Saw the YouTube videos.
Sand and grit I don't have much confidence in, and color matching paint is even harder isn't it?
The holes itself has some bulge into it too, is there anyway to fix it by yourself?

Yeah, that's a bad look. You could try pre-painted bumper plugs, or get some caps from the hardware store & paint them to match. Good luck!

Bumper clips are ugly imo lol
Fact that even if you plug it in, it stands out like a lump...On your bumper.
Is it possible to sand off the rounded top of these clip on pins?

I did the bumper plugs. I took a shot and couldn't be more happy with it. I had to get three pair. 6 damn holes. Would it bother some folks? Sure. But I think it looks better than the holes and here in NC, we don't need a tag on the front.

Well, I relocated my plates...now it looks ugly with the holes haha. Is the color only on the top of the bumper clip?

It was a lease turn in from a local trade in but sadly, it had the bracket on there. Plugs were painted on the top, not all the way through.

To my surprise, it actually had me drill the holes slightly larger but the popped right in and honestly, look like parking sensors or something stock.

I guess if you're not looking for it, it kind of blends.

I got a CPO that's why there are holes drilled too.
Problem is I don't know if the bumper clip will cover up the bulge....

Hahah what color is yours?
I'm thinking of epoxy resin then touch up paint.
Not sure what I could do with the bulge still though...

you can do it yourself for the cost of touch up paint and some plastic rivets from auto zone . If you don't want to pay for shipping and handling from bumper plug. I can try and snap some pics tmw in the am.

I'd love to see it. The sold me on the clear coat and not having to worry about it looking touched up. From the mailbox to installed, we are talking 5 minutes.

Oh, So like the touch up kit from Dr Colorchip? (No color matching problems)
Since I did heard the OEM touch up paint for B39(mineral grey) has color matching problems, not sure if that exists with autozone products.

Lol I did....guess that's the easy way out.
But I am thinking of getting touch up kit or bondo repair kit, as I did find another small but rather deep scratch near the trunk. Do you guys even bother if it's not big?

Spot painting is gonna be a pain in the ass and it will definitely end up standing out as its almost impossible to perfectly paint match. Generally touch up paint is used to make certain imperfections less noticeable but your eye will definitely catch it. Also, post a pic of the scratch, maybe some buff and polish will be a much better option than touch up painting.

Look like this . The first actually looks deeper in person than photo.

I would not recommend even trying to repair those as they are extremely minor imperfections. You should be able to buff and polish the tiny scratch out but the other one seems to be dented inwards and wouldn't be able to be fixed unless its filled, sanded and repainted. But honestly they are way too small and really hard to notice (unless you're the owner of the car and know where to look). Id say just leave it as is, maybe some painted bumper plugs for the license plate holes.

But it somehow is annoying to me lol
Would those touch up paint stick make it worse?

Well...I hear what you say man. So I took the easy way out today...better than expected I must admit.
