95ron custom tune
Here is a log from my custom tune 95ron (using 99ron for this log)
https://datazap.me/u/coeman/4th-and-...45-46-47-48-49 I asked the tuner for limited torque and the way the car builds boost is awesome, feels so much nicer to drive than stock. Drops boost after 6k, not sure if they did this due to having it mapped on 95. (American 91?). As the guy said they were trying to add more timing to get the power. Made 430bhp or ~370whp. Am so tempted to throw some money at this engine after seeing Supras and x40i cars running silly power Any chance of a virtual dyno based on these logs? Great thread btw, enjoyed looking at all these logs for different tunes! |

Just saw another thread so I'll ask here: Would it be helpful to add typical/safe ranges for certain parameters to the OP? I've been curious about oil pressure and I've seen others ask about coolant/oil temp as well. A lot of it will vary based on ambient conditions but I can add some baseline data of what's typical.

Dyno results and log from today. I'm pretty happy with the results on the stock turbo, considering this is AWHP. Torque got a little wonky, but I'm not sure how to interpret that.

Probably a throttle closure when you hit peak boost, although i don't see it in your log. Good numbers.

The only thing I don't like is targetting boost that 4+psi over it's capability at redline just to keep the wastegate slammed shut. But again, I wouldn't expect it to affect power/torque output if it was dialed in better. I don't know enough about p/i values to comment on that. edit: nevermind, i clicked on accel pedal position instead of throttle position. yeah throttle closures are the problem. |

Looking for some help reviewing my logs. Just went Stage 2 and am trying to decide which octane to run. Apparently Utah's 91 octane is kind of trash, I did swap out my plugs yesterday and gapped down to .022 to see if I could help in any way.

@Supreme I tend to agree with alyabiev on the log.
it would be better to reduce the WGDC base mapping, I always get better results when slightly under target boost, and PID portion is used to make up the difference throttle closure will be inefficient use of boost and not smooth, only way to be sure you avoid them is always be a little under target The WGDC is calculated form the sum of the following FYI BASE = this is the feed forward map of WGDC, that is fixed table, WGDC vs boost target vs mass air flow, the unit is a bit weird its in kW, so i think they have mapping to get the turbo compressor power in kw to the actual WGDC, but that part I am not sure about or that table is not exposed, you increase the kw of the base it will increase the actual WGDC % in some proportion to it, I guess most tuner just modify this table P = proportional WGDC correction, this is added, also in kw, and directly proportional to the difference between the target and the actual boost (boost error) I = the integral or the sum of the error over time, negative value here shows you are consistently over target, this should be slightly positive over the run, if you slightly below target D = a factor added that is in proportion to the rate of change of the boost error in time, this is normally not that important, is used to stabilize overshoot , if your rapidly approaching target, slow it down a little for example still learning this as well, so if anything is incorrect please do correct me folks |

So I ended up heading down to Mexico for a quick road trip today lol...

Side note, I must have jinxed myself because I didn't bleed speed quite quickly enough after this run and got stopped by la policia lol. All I got was a warning ticket but it's a good thing he didn't catch me 90 seconds earlier. I would have ended up en la cárcel

At this point we have multiple x-drive cars putting down over 460awhp with custom ethanol tunes. I believe Pete's car is RWD and did 501whp with E30+meth. Hell, just last week Sam ran a 10.8 on stock turbo running E50+meth. It's crazy, people are still underestimating how well our cars respond to octane.
