https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/new...ks-in-12505317 If they are breaking through your locked bedroom down and you attack them as they try to come through you could justify that. The main thing is you leave them once they are down. If you kick them round the floor you’ll be in trouble. Likewise if you chase after them and batter them you’ll be in trouble. Just over 10 years ago I made a citizen’s arrest and had a good chat with a decent oldskool copper back at the station. He pretty much told me the same as what’s in the link above regarding how far you can go if you find someone in your home etc. |

However, locking yourself in your bedroom every night with a blade is another level... |

Stealing my car would be way too much effort. They would have to find the circuit breaker for my garage door to open it, unpadlock my front gate. Find the keys to my X-Trail to move it out of the way, then start my car and find out it has ghost.

I've had scum break in at 3am while we were asleep (no kids) and steal my S3 that had only sat on the drive for 3 weeks, keys downstairs.
The keys are no longer easy to find and it is no longer possible to even begin to break in without waking me - and I now have a hatred towards these scum that leaves me with a burning desire to crack their skulls with an axe. I wouldn't risk physical injury in an un-equal situation but the psychological harm caused by becoming an easy victim I believe is possibly worse than physical injury.

Had Ghost installed a month ago after a car was stolen in our locked compound.
When I came back from the cinema a week ago, an S5 had both front doors open and alarm going off. Called the owners flat but they were not home. Not sure how the scum get in there, but with the Ghost I don’t need to worry about them nicking my car. There is no radio signal to copy and the tiny chip is near impossible to find. If someone threatens you to start the car, you can enter a code which enables them to drive 100 meters before stalling. By that time you could have a baseball bat ready (or be sensible and call the police) If you have a slight worry, just get it installed. Shout out to Imran from CarSoundSecurity https://www.carsoundsecurity.com/ He also did a very neat installation of my front/rear dashcam
