hi guys i bought 2013 528xi recently and im getting check engine light for 118001 Mixture control: mixture too lean car is idling poorly it vibrates specially when is put in drive, drives fine on the road. I have smoke tested the motor and found one small leak by turbo air inlet and replaced the pipe but no change, switched injectors and high pressure fuel pump from friends car and coded no change ,calibrated eccentric shaft and vanos also did reset learning adaption nothing helped.
any help is appreciated.

If it's a 4 cyl, my tuning shop "Auto Tuning House" in Orlando told me a rough idle is normal when I brought my 2013 in for a rough idle, and handed me my keys back after running their tests.

yes its 4cyl i think they are wrong these engines are very quite you can barely hear it run when they work correctly rough idle is hard to diagnose and most shops have no clue it takes time and lots tests i will find this issue it my take time but im on it it will be fixed.

I'm sure you will I know you know your cars! My cousin thought it was intake related.

I have found that my valve cover gasket is leaking in the back of the motor so i have ordered new valve cover and seals will install it tomorrow, also took long drive like 200 miles and reset the code few times and it didn't come back immediately but had new code come up 195013 differential pressure sensor will replace that too fingers crossed.

Hey how did you perform the smoke test? I have exactly the same issues. My question is did you smoke test the car while it was running or did you smoke test it off, bv I did it off and didn't find any vacuum leaks.
