I believe its still in closed loop so it shouldn't affect anything but will compare power and Afr with and without the piggy back. Last edited by rednose; 06-18-2015 at 06:57 AM.. |

Out of curiosity have you run into any of the gearbox safeguard problems on the 320i when the torque is raised substantially? Some others (be it overseas) have had this problem after add on type tune boxes etc. Or does your tune address this issue as well?

Also if you click on each part then you can see different weights like FMIC is 30% heavier in the 328 or you can see the 328i has 75mm mid pipe vs 320i has 65mm mid pipe Piston: 320i - http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=11_4770 328i - http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=11_4770 Rear Exhaust: 320i - http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=18_1105 328i - http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=18_0974 Transmission: 320i - http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=24_1330 328i - http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=24_1330 Driveshaft: 320i - http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=26_0240 328i - http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=26_0240 Front Muffler: 320i - http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=18_0975 328i - http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=18_0975 FMIC 320i - http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=17_0632 328i - http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=17_0632 |

So I own the 420i EUR 2016 (n20) and planning to do this downpipe upgrade with sport cat FMIC. However, the FMIC I am trying to buy is from US, and made for 428i. based on your message there are no hardware differences so 428i FMIC should fit 420i as long as both are using n20? |

What I am thinking is that maybe part numbering is different considering that versions are EUR and US? |

Hi there this is my first post on a forum
I recently had my 2013 BMW 320i tuned by BSR tuning, now when I came to driving it to test it out the car was acting as if it was bogged and shuttering then had the engine light come on with a message indicating the drivetrain needed attention basically. Now I turned the car off and everything was fine but once I put it under heavy load it had done the same thing. Even driving normally and adding a little bit of throttle it’s very jittery and almost like hesitating to put the power down. Could this be a good time to get the plugs and coils changed Please let me know you’re thoughts as I’m quite hesitant to drive it. Cheers |
