I bought one of the last F33s

I'm in my second 4 Gran Coupe, lease is almost up, and was sweating the decision to go for the hardtop Convertible or the softtop. Did I want the same styling with a more versatile roof, did I want the new styling with the cloth? Stuck on making a decision for months, needed someone or something to help me.

BMW just made it a no-brainer for me to go with the F33. Ordered it yesterday. One of the last allocations on the planet. I consider myself quite fortunate.

You missed the much better and refreshed car just by one? Sorry for you.

Congrats, a car is never better put together than it’s last year in production and the F33 is a beautiful vert.

It's a conscious decision based on the simple fact that I don't like how the new car looks and I think the F32/33/36 are some of the best looking and performing cars BMW has ever made. I'm grateful to have the option. Those whose leases expire six months from now have some big challenges to face.

Besides, it's a lease. In 3-4 years an early LCI may get rid of the buck teeth and the soft top and there you go, I'll be back in the newest 'vert or perhaps back in the GC. For now, I feel really good about the decision. Especially since the F33 is quite rare where I live and will still be the only hardtop even when the big nostril version hits the streets. Still resembles the G20, and with so many different BMW models very few will know my new F33 is an older design.

And I've got my X7 to keep me up-to-date on styling and tech. No worries for me. I'm quite pleased.

Thank you. I've loved my back-to-back F36's and wanted one last shot at the hardtop convertible before it was gone forever. The one thing making me worried about that decision was what the new 4 Series was going to look like. If it were gorgeous then I would have to pass on the convertible and get another GC, I'm just not a soft top guy.

Thankfully, BMW took that concern away by releasing the new buck tooth design at the very moment I needed to make the decision. I got one of the last F33 orders BMW is taking as a company. Just under the wire.

If the G33 was already out of question due to the soft top I think you did the right decision independent the look of the new 4 series. The switch to vert. is much more significant than that of one GC model to another. Now you get a chance to see if vert. Is your thing or not

I really like the new G22/G82 design but I think you did the best decision for you here. Scratch that vert. Itch and congrats!

Agreed.

It was going to boil down to the F33 (my first convertible) and the G36 (my third GC) depending on the new styling. So instead of a fresh looking Gran Coupe I'm going to get a fresh looking (to me) Cabrio. It's all good.

And, who knows? Perhaps seeing them on the road will warm me to the new grille and Coke-bottle shaped flares. Fingers crossed.

My F33 is my first convertible and I love it. My next car will probably be another hardtop convertible and I think the new Vette is probably going to be my only option.

I hear you. A soft top just isn't for me, I just don't like the way they look with that umbrella going on. And with the F33 my favorite configuration is top up windows down. Just love the lack of pillars.
