They seem to be selling two versions, one with wide-screen support and one without.

I would ask them about that before placing your order to make certain that you receive the one with wide-screen support. That version can also be flashed with the custom versions in this thread. The custom versions fix the dpi.

As in, you formatted it to FAT32 but with GPT as the partition style? I'm not sure if these boxes are running a version of linux compatible with GPT

lc is Andream (early unit's that RoadTop sold were Andream units).

Has anyone figured out how to code out the annoying AUX error message that appears on the KOMBI when using steering wheel controls on CarPlay? It's super annoying and just want it removed.

I'm still having issues connecting to AA using V2 of the custom firmware. Tried doing it through Carplay devices, it could find my phone, so I used Bluetooth which does work, but it won't auto start AA. And if I pair to the OEM BT connection for phone calls, it seems to only connect to the MMI or the OEM, not both.

Could anyone post the Bimmertech instructions for connecting your device?

I don't have HUD mate. This error appears on the KOMBI.

So I just installed one of these boxes - ordered from Aliexpress.

It works, but I would like to try the custom firmware (widescreen, etc) but as soon as I choose the SW update option in the menu it asks for a password which I do not know. None of the PIN's listed on the first page work. It is a 4 digit code though.

Here is the SW/FW version on the box:

Anyone have any suggestions? I have sent a message to the seller for the PIN but nothing yet... if they even know it.

The sw version suggests it's an Andream unit, so the pin should be 2863

Strange HW Version though
