Drivetrain Malfunction

So I do a pull, and then I'm driving normally and I get the drivetrain malfunction warning. I turned the car off and turned it back on and drove it some more and no light. Maybe a misfire?

Could be anything I'd start by checking for stored codes.

Miles? Last time plugs/coils replaced? Agree with the comment above to get the codes to narrow down the culprit.

Miles? Last time plugs/coils replaced? Agree with the comment above to get the codes to narrow down the culprit.

35,961 miles. I'm assuming the plugs have never been done. The malfunction never came back.

False positives happen all the time, so while it might be a concern it also might be nothing. Without a code reader there's no way of knowing.

Bimmer-tool Lite is surprisingly good, especially for a free app. It's a bit hinky connecting to my car, though. I have to connect to the bluetooth adapter with Bimmercode first, then close Bimmercode and open bimmer-tool Lite and it will connect.

Hey everyone, the dealer pulled the code and it was related to the wastegate. The wastegate failed and they are replacing it under warranty.

Mine failed too at around 35k miles, they just replaced the entire turbo assembly. Does this mean it's going to fail every 35k miles? lol

They're only replacing my actuator haha.
