Can I add Apple CarPlay to a BMW M2 Competition
Hi guys,
I've found a used M2 Competition (in the UK) which I'm almost ready to pull the trigger on but it's missing one specification item I'd really like and that is Apple Carplay preparation. It does have enhanced Bluetooth with wireless charging however. A few questions then: 1) Can it be activated through the BMW Connected Drive? 2) Can any necessary hardware be fitted after the fact or retrofitted to enable the use of Carplay? What exactly is Apple Carplay preparation? 3) If there is a way round it, where can I get it done in the South of England and at what cost? Many thanks people! USB activation depends on NBT EVO Version.
I had this done on my NBT EVO and during a recent dealer visit they did an update to the car and basically bricked my OEM navigation. Ensure the seller is able to backup you settings and restore to stock. It is so easy to go with the cheapest and when it hits the fan....your on your own. There is another active thread talking about this (started by me a while back), where the eBay CarPlay USB has basically prevent me from updating the NBT via Bimmercode, its a well know 'feature' with the USB activations. |
