F30 Brembo Brake Pads
In need of new brake pads for my 335i xDrive non M sport and I came across Brembo pads for far less $$ than any of the other options (BMW, Akebono, Textar). Was always under the impression that Brembo was on the high end of the brake world. Love the price point of the Brembos but don't want to cheap out on something as crucial as brakes.
Has anyone had experience with these brembo pads? Also - when I searched the part number for the Brembos in google the genuine BMW pads showed up - anyone know why? Here are the pads: https://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-5...ke-pads-front/ Would appreciate any input |

I use FERODO on my 435dx, but even if I don't have any experience on BREMBO pads, I would definately go for them if the price is better than the others.
Maybe the price is low because they are in stock for a long time and the shop wants to make them go. |

Brembo is the supplier for our brakes, so those are the same pads that the car came from the factory with.
So to answer your question, yes, im sure most of us have had experience with these pads, including you! They are fine and good for braking, but spew brake dust. I haven't tried any others yet because my pads still have plenty of material, but I have seen threads where people have recommended different brands with less brake dust. |

You can get Brembo (Blue Painted Caliper) pads for cheaper at brembostoreusa.com
but you have shop elsewhere for the pad wear sensors. |

I'd be interesting in knowing if the Brembo's you buy are bad for dust. My OEM M-Sport were Brembo's, but they could be a special BMW formulation for less fade (aka more dust).

Stock BMW pads are no better than average. The best street pad for F3x brakes are Hawk 5.0. |

Stock are no better in what regard? My OEM m-sport had INSANE stopping power, even on cold pads. The dust was brutal, they squealed like a mo-fo (not the pads fault, they were installed at the factory with no lube on the caliper slides).
I ended up putting in EBC red stuff pads. Almost no dust, but the cold braking is much less than the OEM (still fine, just doesn't force your brain out of your skull on a really hard stop). |
