cracked paint under clear coat
i saw a car that has spider web paint, when i try to scratch it with my finger nail, it appears the clear coat is clean, meaning i can't feel any scratched on the surface, that means the cracked paint is under the clear coat.
what cause it? has the bumper been painted before with bad quality paint? |

Can you provide a picture?
It might be a case of the bumper hitting an object just enough to fracture the paint, but not actually crack the clear coat which is probably a little more flexible.

the bumper itself is fine, no cracked or scratches or dent, bumper looks perfect body wise, just the paint has cracked under clear coat
i can provide pics, but it won't help because you will just see cracked spider web paint on the picture, but only when you feel it with your fingernail, you know it's smooth on the surface, something it can't be shown in the picture |
