Dinan Sport Tune chip 0-60 time w/video
I was wondering about definitive numbers improvement on my 335i GT with the most basic of Dinan chippy buddies and have legit tested it for some zero to sixties. This one cleared right around 4:24-4:25 on frames which at 30fps equals between 4.8 and 4.83, thus proving that a 200$ bluetooth dongle running interference on the charge pipe can get you close to a half a second on your 0-60 with no other improvements whatsoever. I pulled audio from a mic on the tow hook plus the dashcam, it captured the urgency of it pretty well.
I will update as I get more relevant video, but this one turned out good after a couple of dry runs. It keeps up with supercars on public roads pretty well, and I now have a sub 5 second 0-60 family Dadmobile for Honda Civic money. |

I will have a new family driver in 1.5 years and by then the BMW might be family stable material due to resale value, etc. I'd like to get a "detuned" mode on the second key, if that's possible. Nice work with the mic, too. |

It wouldn't be a key thing, you would just set the thing to detune before hand on the app on your phone and would have to make sure that the kid didn't know you had the tune chip thing so they didn't just get the app and reverse it.
This can also be monitored but that is beyond the scope of my application. |
