M Sport Package Front Lip Mesh Broken

Folks,

Must have hit some stones or whatnot driving on the highway. The mesh on the lower front lip started to break. Has anyone done any repair to that? Is that part even modular and where to buy replacement part?

See the picture I attached for reference - this is just a stock photo not my car. But it does the job.

Thanks.

The part is available separately and is called “Insert, air intake, center”. Look up your year/model on realoem.com for the part number (it can vary with the electronics pkgs your car has). Order at your favorites BMW Parts establishment.

You showed a pic of a 4-series, but your ID says you have an older M3, so I can’t tell you the part since I don’t know what car/model you have.

Good call out visionaut. I actually have them both, which is not great for my wallet... Yes, I will check out realoem.com. Thanks!

I just replaced that part on an F36. Ordered from ecstuning and it arrived cracked, so had to return and wait for a new one to ship out.

Changing it out wasn't bad, but I did remove the front bumper in order to do so. Just make sure that you bend the inner clips in order to remove the old grill.

Another option would be to use a 2 part epoxy to glue it back together.
