Since then, I've put 13,633 miles on it over the 4.5 years I've owned it (avg 3k miles per year). Although it was my primary car, I either lived a mile from work or worked from home so I hardly ever drove it. When I purchased the car, there were still a few months of the original warranty left so I took it to my local BMW dealer on 7/7/2018, however they didn't perform an inspection up to my satisfaction. On 8/13/2018, I took it to a local independent BMW specialty shop and did a "post" purchase inspection. Here's what they reported: "Front and rear bumpers have been replaced, but the car was not hit. There are no oil leaks. The suspension is in good condition at this time. Maintenance is up to date. There were no faults in the DME." So I felt pretty good about the condition of the car and started purchasing some small cosmetic modifications, such as the M style dual slat gloss black grills, IND door keyhole cover in matching paint, the IND BMW roundels without chrome, and Burger Tuning exhaust tips. I also decided to change out the silver hexagonal dash trim to the dark wood trim. Not only do I think it looks nicer, but the silver trim could be utterly blinding in certain sunlight. Additionally, I upgraded the trim around the air conditioning to the OEM BMW LCI trim which is gloss black and adds more ambient lighting to the interior. To improve the driving experience, I installed the simple clutch stop which improves the feel of the clutch pedal. But more than that, I installed a VRSF high density front mount intercooler, VRSF catless downpipe, and VRSF aluminum charge pipe on 9/25/2018 at 27,340 miles. After the install, I flashed the Bootmod3 (BM3) stage 2 tune. The car was transformed. The sound was louder and throatier, and was much quicker thanks to the additional torque. It was an amazing change, but to be completely honest, I hardly ever pushed the car and I truthfully only hit redline less than 10 times I owned it - the car was too fast and I... well I babied it. Then time came for new wheels. I purchased brand new set of BBS CH-R wheels from Tire Rack with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. The wheels are 19x8.5" up front with 225s and 19x9.5" in the back with 255s. The tires are fitted with TPMS and work perfectly. Excluding mounting and balancing, the wheels and tires cost $3,675.60 and were installed on 2/20/2019 at 29,349 miles. I no longer have the stock wheels so they will not be included with the sale. To complete my build for the car, I wanted to lower it, but do it right. I went with the highly rated Dinan lowering springs with their recommended bump stop kit, which were installed on 4/27/2019 at 30,209 miles. Not only does the new ride height with the BBS wheels look amazing, but the car rides amazing as well. Eventually, the catless downpipe was removed and the stock catalytic converter was put back on to pass smog on 6/6/2022 at 37,104 miles. The tune was removed and put back to stock immediately after. The tune was on the car then for only 9,764 miles and I never drove it hard. The stock catalytic converter and the stock charge pipe are now back on the car. The VRSF intercooler is still on the car and I've been reassured that the car will run just fine with that intercooler with everything else stock (original intercooler included with sale). The car passed smog and soon after I finished paying off my loan so I have possession of the title. I love this car, but it's just time for something new and more practical. So here I am putting up my favorite car I've ever owned up for sale. Maintenance:________________ Unfortunately I don't have maintenance records from before I owned the car and the Carfax doesn't have anything of value in that regard either. - Oil change 7/17/18 @ 26,539 miles - Brake flush 1/07/19 @ 29,149 miles - Oil change 6/23/20 @ 33,797 miles - Oil change 6/06/20 @ 37,104 miles Modifications:________________ Wheels and Tires: -Authentic BBS CH-R Wheels | paid $2,459 | stock wheel not included -Authentic BBS wheel protectors 2x | paid $128 -Michelin Pilot Sports 4S | paid $1,216 | stock tires not included Suspension: -Dinan Lowering Springs with Dinan Supplemental Ride Quality & Handling Kit | paid $478 (install and alignment $902) | stock included Cosmetic: -OEM LCI Backlit AC Console Frame | paid $70 | stock not included -Front and rear IND paint-matched reflector delete | paid $202 | stock included -Front and rear IND gloss-black BMW roundel (outer chrome delete) | paid $230 | stock included -IND paint-matched driver door keyhole cover | paid $44 | stock included -Burger Tuning chrome exhaust tips | paid $99 | stock included -JB Speed dual slat gloss black grilles | paid $130 | stock included Performance: -VRSF High Density Core Intercooler | paid $380 | stock included -K&N 235 Air Intake Filter - Not Installed, but included with sale | paid $52 | stock on car PPI Welcome at buyer's expense.
