need Bay Area Active tank repair 328d technician

Hi does anyone know a Bay Area technician with experience running proper diagnostics for the DEF active tank? I got the dreaded active tank level error. Hoping someone knows how to do a distilled water flush and see if this quickly remedy the problem.

Currently at 158k miles

Attached are ista+ codes.

The level sensor is not in the tank, it uses an ultrasonic sensor to read the level, from outside of the tank. Flushing with distilled water will do nothing.

Thanks for the clarification. I’m guessing the only way is to replace the whole tank? Since I don’t remember BMW selling the sensor part by itself.

Possibly.

What does ISTA say in terms of level for that tank? Any useful test plans that it recommends doing? The repair info in the test plan is often very helpful.

Garage List
The active tank fill level sensor is integrated into the delivery module, but only the pump portion of that looks to be replaceable.

Sorry for the late reply, the dealer explained the ista plan. There is no short in the wiring, but the tank will need to be replaced. Computer still reports 0 fluid level. Sensor is intergrated with the tank. Also, I-level needs to be updated in conjunction with this repair. This is going to be an expensive repair…
