My 2018 330iX EB Sedan
Picked up this off-lease 2018 330iX earlier this year, less than 15,000 km, now at about 21k. Loving the colour, looks and engine/transmission combo, but the suspension definitely needs improvements.
Done some easy stuff so far: - Red start stop button - Tinted sidemarkers - Ceramic coated - Sprintbooster installed Future plans: - Coilovers: Decided on KW Street Comfort after going through a lot of threads on this forum - Strut tower brace - Monoball control arms - Non run-flats, likely Continental DWS06. Not sure if I should go for 245/40/18 or stick with 225/45/18. I do like the stock 400M wheels - Dual exit exhaust. On the hunt for a 340i muffler. Might do the "PE mod" |

Thanks, alohasurftoad. I already looked into this from some of your other posts. However, I'm planning to lower about 1.25", so I think keeping the stock sidewall height will be best. Will probably stick with 225/45 as it looks better to me on an 8" wheel.

Really beautiful colour and trim combo! I wish we got more M Sport 330i cars in the states. Seems like everything down here is a goddamn sport line with only a few options.

Thanks! I don't mind the Sportline but it had to be Estoril Blue for me, which comes in M Sport only. Took over 3 months to find what I wanted with low miles and service history.

Swapped to winter setup. Was not thrilled about the 17" wheels that the car came with, but I've grown to like the meaty sidewalls and the wheel design. Gives me some retro BMW vibes when I walk up to it from the side.
Just need to get rid of the horrible gap around the tires... |

340i muffler installed! Lines up perfectly with the midpipe, great OEM plus mod. Should have come this way from factory.
Tips ended up poking 1/2" further than to stock, which I like |

Took delivery of KW Street Comfort coilovers. At my door 30 days from placing the order, apparently they make them to order.
Looking forward to getting them installed! Also, looks like KW now calls them V2 Comfort |

New tires just installed, Continental DWS06 Plus. As expected, they ride way better than the stock ContiProContact run flats. No more jarring impacts. They are also noticeably smoother, and the car tracks more easily in a straight line.
Happy that I stuck with the stock tires size of 225-45-18, looks great to my eye with a slight stretch instead of bulging out. Lowering coming soon. |

Finally, KW Comforts installed, along with a Wiechers steel strut tower brace.
Lowering is about 1.5" front and 1.25" rear... actually a little more than I wanted. I might raise it a bit, particularly at the rear. Obviously looks a lot better than before. Driving wise, I was nervous after reading some mixed reviews, but they are great so far. Very comfortable, without the floatiness and body roll in the stock setup. Rebound damping was set to the recommended 9 out of 16 clicks. Front end stays very flat on fast curves and highway on-ramps. It does hit the bump stops more easily than before, I guess due to smaller suspension travel. The steering feel has not improved in any measurable way, I was disappointed that the strut brace did not have an effect there. However, it feels a lot more accurate in turns and left-right transitions. |

Raised the ride height a little, I felt it was sitting too low, particularly at the rear.
Ground to fender heights are now 26.5" at the front, 26.25" at the rear. Total lowering compare to stock is 1.25" at the front, 0.75" at the rear. |
