2018 440i help
I’ve been in the market for a coupe B58 for a while now, it would be my first BMW but i’m not unfamiliar with driving them. I got beat to a deposit on a 44k mile M240 for $34k USD. I see on their site they have a M Sport 440i with Premium PCKG and Wireless Charging, but it has 59k miles, it’s very cheap at $31k and I’m wondering would this be a fun first BMW and relatively easy to maintain or should I wait and spend an extra couple thousand on a lower mileage? I think I’m rushing myself too much. Any help appreciated.

I can only speak from my knowledge which please bare in mind I'm also new to BMW myself. I paid 33k for a 2019 440i Gran Coupe with 36,000 miles. The car is well optioned. Mine is a RWD and I believe I read somewhere that the RWD 440i weighs 3701 pounds. Its not light but not that heavy either. The B58 is a incredible engine full stop. Please keep in mind that for the most part the B58 is the same baring the different states of tunes per pending the platform. This is a broad statement.
I would not discourage looking at a 440i, if you prefer a more handling based vehicle, keep a look out for a M340i. The 440i is larger and roughly 100 ish pounds heavier than the M340. B58 is the way, a tune and a downpipe will open your eyes and transform the car once you get it. |
