OEM Parts
Where do you guys get BMW OEM parts from the dealerships or other websites? I would like to know what are the best websites to get OEM parts from.
Specifically I am looking to replace the rear lamp cover (the red one) as I (I mean my wife) cracked it backint it up into my mail post. Is it even possible to only replace the lamp cover and not the whole lamp itself? does anyone know what the part number is only for the lamp cover? |

If you’re talking about tail lights, they are one piece and the covers are not detachable- you’ll have to replace the whole light. For something like that, forum classifieds or eBay for a nice second hand unit is a much better deal than paying for a new one, depending on LCI vs earlier years you can score one for under $100 that is OEM- will probably be easier to find the earlier unit for cheaper and individually but the newer ones are out there too.
If you’re interested and have the older style, I have a few I’m selling individually and I’ve seen others selling them recently as well |
