15' 435I F32 N55 Engine Swap

Hey guys just purchased a damaged 15' 435i and front bumper was damaged which damaged the oil cooler and apparently it sat running after the accident and pumped all oil out and the intake cam seized on number 3 journal which locked the camshaft. Causing the camshaft to stop and crank kept rotating which broke the vanos gear bolt off causing chain damaged etc. So now I need a new or used cylinder head. I operate a automotive shop and we've always owned BMW'S so I'm pretty familiar with the n54 and n55 engines. My question is besides purchasing a new cylinder head, gaskets, bolts etc. I thought about buying a complete N55 engine and do a drop in /. upgrade. Is there a better N55 engine in other cars that will work as an upgrade? Has anyone ever done this and if so would I need to do any coding? Or is this a direct swap out?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance..

I've heard that the N55 in the M235i may work. It was a forged crankshaft.

It was my understanding that all 14+ cars with an N55, had the exact same engine as the M235's N55

I thought there was a difference with a M2 N55. Not 100% sure, but there were some posts and a youtube video about it based on their differing engine codes
