F33 Roof Leak
Hi all
I was just wondering if anyone has had any leaks around the rear window area it seems to be leaking where the centre section of the roof meets the rear roof in the corners. It's on both sides when it rains. It went into BMW they adjusted the windows which solved nothing it went back again they recommend changing the roof seals at a price of £1800 which they done and its still leaking. I just want to know if anyone has had this issue and solved it?? Thanks |

Roof Leak
Yes I have a leak there. I think it is from the roof trim. The roof trim OEM 54375A19AA4 is cracked on my convertible and only then did it begin to leak. There is a plastic seal of some kind in the roof trim. I found your post while looking for a replacement piece for my car. Currently I'm taping over that joint where the convertible top hinges and the leak has stopped.
Good luck and let me know what you find out. Tami |

I just bought a 2014 F33 and have discovered the same issue. In addition to a small leak in the same spot as you have I also have a dusting of water in the trunk and sloshing in the body when driving. I suspect the issue is clogged drain plugs causing the drainage channel to overflow as described in this post: https://www.deutschespeed.com/thread...e-and-fix.110/

I am having the same issue on my '16 F83 M4, in the same area. Did you ever discover a fix? I really don't want to pay $2000 for a roof seal. It seems like the part that separates the middle of the roof from the back is not seated properly, there is a small gap where water looks like it can get in.
Please let me know if anyone found a fix to this. I am considering trying to use some window screen adhesive but I don't want to do that if there's something easier. Keep seeing videos of gummi pfledge but i doubt that's going to actually fix a leak. Please see my thread here. I would really appreciate any help! https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=2025639

I think I have fixed the leaky roof problem. As far as I have come, the problem is in the mounting in the middle roof section. I simply took and sprayed thick rust preventive on the nut and around there.

Hi all
Yeah I managed to fix my leak I had all 3 roof seals replaced luckily under warranty £2000. Then BMW figured it out to be the rear windows they adjusted them which I think was more of a nightmare then doing the roof seals but leak is fixed 😁 Thanks |
