rear view camera not working
Brought car to BMW service, they wanted way too much money to fix the problem. So I bought a trunk mounted rear view camera from eBay, didn't fix the problem. Next thing to look at is the control module. I took the rear seat out and found this (in the picture), which doesn't look like any control modules for sale on eBay. If this is not the control module, where is the control module located?

I have Emtronika camera and it works fine, except the dynamic lines (both green and red) are in too steep curve. No way my car can turn that much . So basically they are useless, as currently I can't see from the lines will by car turn before some obstacle or not. Can I adjust those from car sofware (with Bimmercode) or is this something that has to be done in camera module (if possible)? There are 8 dip switches in the camera module. In installation instructions Emtronika writes only pin #1 should be on, if there is PMA2 module (I don't have, so it is off) and all others must be off. Does someone have similar expreriences and any ideas/help where to start? The Emtornika module looks like this |

I have been spending last week with installing a Andream MMI and aftermarket reverse camera in our F31 2018. It's been a pain and it has been done in parallel with fixing new threads on the oil drain plug.
When installing the cover and camera handle for the tail gate I see that I have a newer cover that does not match the after market camera handle I have (and which is sold everywhere). After some search I see there is a difference from approximately 2018 in the design. The clips from my cover will not fit with the aftermarket camera handle. Even if i forced my cover onto the handle I do not think the push button functionallity would be especially good. I can also say I get clear vision from the camera (even if the camera is only turned off by pressing the PDC button). Some information Part number on my cover: 14476910 looks more like https://www.proxyparts.com/car-parts...rtid/15539345/ https://www.ebay.com/itm/374042527681 Reference to old cover that everyone pre 2018 seems to have Indication that there is a difference between 2018 and before https://www.carcommunications.co.uk/...a-1-2-3-4-5-x1 https://www.carcommunications.co.uk/...5-series-2008- |

Hi,
I'm looking for OEM rear camera set and I tried to code the 3AG, HU, REV etc. Is there a chance that I can check without camera and module if it can work with my car (BMW F36, CE70622 - Entrynav2 (NBT EVO)) before i buy OEM set? Because after coding and turn on reverse gear nothing happen(only PDC enabled) - should I first add module and camera? Thanks for any help. |

Thank You
Now see I need ICAM not TRSVC, Which modules should be coded? For sure REM and HU, but I don’t want to use VO(3AG) coding to do this… REM->PdcParkMasterVar -> RVC = wert02 HU -> EXBOX 3001 -> CAM_ECU = wert11 HU -> EXBOX 3001 -> CAMERA_SYSTEM = icam_rvc HU -> EXBOX 3001 -> MACRO_RV_C = active And what next? Is there a chance that I can see changed screen with place for camera view after putting on reverse - without connected camera? Quote:

Ok,
After compare ncd files before and after 3AG I found out that only those 4 changes are needed. ICAM module is not visible (I’m waiting for the camera) - or maybe is there a chance to simulate module? I set up this values but I can’t see any changes on screen after putting reverse, so I should connect ICAM camera first? Quote:

What is the correct ICAM module and wiring for a 2020 M4 with 5DL? REAL oem is still showing trsvc and part #66-53-6-994-554, but that is not correct?

If your car is F83 then module is correct and no icam for your car. Without knowing exactly your car model or VIN will be hard to tell anything

After reading through this whole thread (and a few others) I have attempted this retrofit on my 2012 335i with CiC and stock F&R PDC. I mounted the camera module in the trunk above the battery, ran all the wiring, and all seemed to go well until I turned the car on- had several CAN errors and the IHKA and radio controls, and the iDrive controller, did not function, along with a few other errors as well. After troubleshooting, it would appear the culprit is the CAN taps I did by my older CiC iDrive controller. Even if the module was unplugged in the trunk, I would get all of those errors until I removed the taps and then taped up the car wires, then all is back to normal.
Any thoughts? I’m hoping I’m wrong, but the fact the wires, while not being connected to anything else in the car aside the iDrive wire taps, give the error, I’m almost inclined to think there is a break in the OEM retrofit harness somewhere causing this error? Seems like many others tapped these CAN1 wires with no problems, but would love any ideas troubleshooting it further. Should I test continuity to ground, between the two wires, or anything else? Just glad I could reverse the tap and have the car up and running normally in the mean time Here are the errors I could not clear while the taps were still connected but the trunk end of the harness was left unplugged |
