Anyone has used Veritas Service Contract Worth?
I just purchased a 2018 440 xdrive convertible and evaluating Veritas Service Contract that's been offered to me.
Couldn't find lots of threads on veritas here, my main concern is the potential high cost of the convertible top failures. My car has around 30K miles on it. I was offered a policy for 5 years that cost $5205. It's an exclusionary coverage, which only excludes "vinyl" tops, it does mention body sheet metal & panels which is something I'll call and discuss with the company if that means panels that fold into the trunk. I'd really appreciate if anyone who has used Veritas and/or had a convertible claim and successfully used extended warranties can chime in with their experiences. To provide an additional data point, took it to my independent BMW garage, they said the car is perfect mechanically, and they suggested I keep the coverage if I intend to keep the car more than 3 years which I'll likely keep. thanks in advance! |

The list of exclusions on this one is longer than the list of what's covered. $1k a year is way too much for oil and filter changes and emergency services that you can get through AAA.

I also have Veritas contract. Haven’t used it, hopefully never will, probably gonna cancel the last 2 remaining years of contract. But if I have to use it, I assume it’s gonna be an uphill battle to get claims approved.
They don’t cover a whole lot, noticed the oil filter housing isn’t covered in my contract. Don’t really see a value in it anymore. |

I did research some time ago and a good option was Route 66. I believe their best plan is named Easy Street. Some credit unions offer it.
The car I found was CPO, so I didn't buy Route 66 after all. |

Thanks everyone for their inputs, really appreciate it!
There's very little info/reviews on Veritas, whether negative or positive, so was on the fence if they'd actually be easy to work with. I'll pass and hope for the best for my convertible top |

For 5 grand you're better off keeping that money in your account. You may never need to use it.
