Lowered it this weekend,

Hindsight, ECS tuning coils drop is 1.5”-4” and had everything maxed in the rear and was forced with a 1.5” drop at the very least,

Installed some rubber lower perches that gave it another few mm but need to find a better solution as it’s still rubbing over larger bumps,

First two photos was where it was rubbing and was sanded down to take the edge off as it was sharp,

If you're too low on the rear I'd recommend using this OEM spacer at the top of the spring, you'll get about 8-10 mm. This is a BMW kit used in countries with poor roads, known as the "poor road package". When I lowered my 340 the front was perfect, the rear not so much. Wasn't rubbing but I didn't like the slammed look. I could barely fit a finger btw the tire and the fender. This kit fixed that and looks perfect now. I would take a couple of pics but car's in storage atm...
Part # 33536769473, hard to get in the US, so flea bay is your best bet..

paulnur You can also look into swapping out the springs for taller ones.

Agree with this Had the same issue when I lowered the car; perfect in front but too low in the rear. The bad roads package works a great and corrects for it. eBay from Europe is the way to go. Inexpensive is you find them and easy to install.

Yes, common issue. In Germany referred to as “hanging ass”.
The adapters lift the rear with 8mm from memory. I installed them myself too as I was not happy with the look of the car after dropping it with the ACS springs... it looked like I had bricks in the trunk although empty. ACS delivered the adapters free of charge to me, as a solution to my expressed dissatisfaction.

This all said, I have a hard time understanding why anyone would want or need to lower the car to such an extreme as paulnur here. Extremely impractical plus I guess beauty lies within the eyes of the beholder.

Mine (F36) was too low with just Eibach springs + OEM M Sport shocks. For me it's perfect with Bilstein B8 shocks + Eibach. It's also now a very good compromise between comfort & rolling.

Chased down a few rattles recently and am soooo much happier with the cabin noise level now.
  1. Midpipe was ever so slightly touching the heat shield. Was able to simply push up on the heat shield and shake the muffler to verify no more touching.
  2. Rear dome lamp had a vibrating clip that I found from here - https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=941943
  3. I applied some insulating tape to the clips holding the rearmost cover on the headliner, where the AM/FM amplifier is housed

Hindsight, it does list on the coils 1-5” to 4” drop meaning you have to drop it at least 1.5” which I agree is way too excessive.

You guys are awesome, ordered a pair, they can’t get here soon enough. I will end up ordering springs like ObiJon mentioned once I know exactly what I need to order. I don’t really want to drive the car as it is so it will unfortunately sit until I get the shims, I also accidentally broke the stock intake installing a new turbo inlet so that has to sit regardless until I get those parts also. It’s not so bad driving the S560 everyday 😎

I will look into this after I get it all dialed in with the inexpensive option the inserts/shims

New Magsafe charger and a 90 degree USB-cable. Routes to the space between the center console and glove box. The original vent holder protruded too far out of the vent, so I had to McGyver it to be almost flush. I prefer the charger being higher up, easier to glance at it.

Finished my interior light mod 2.0 that is controlled by 3 rotary encoders using an esp32 that connects to aftermarket bluetooth addressable RGB controller. Custom gradients, onboard effects, dual zone, solid colors and brightness control + added exterior door handle lights:

Only issue is that one of the 4 door handle light is "colder/more blue" than the rest..

Well, different tastes as you say. You can customize the colors as you want, brightness levels etc. For example bmw amber color:

All the images are with max brightness on the LEDs, only needed if you turn them on during the day. The white dome and door lights are only on for the pictures as my phone could not differentiate the colors.

My key was extremely worn. Bought a case from ebay to swap the internals. Still waiting for the mini roundel to finish it off. But happy with the results, despite having 1 extra fake button.

Long time no post- had this in the works for a bit, after waiting for about a year snagged an OEM M2 exhaust and fitted it up! I thought I made a HUGE mistake as it was droning like crazy from 1100-1500 RPM in comfort, but then I realized I hadn’t plugged the valve back in- fixed it up perfectly. Cutting the bumper was scary though haha

Also don’t mind the dirty car, it’s been too cold for a proper wash!

Interesting! What made you go for an M2 exhaust instead of the various genuine and aftermarket products for the F3X?

I’ve seen a couple guys that fitted it on here, and originally I had set out for a MPPSK one but the prices on those are still pretty high, I was all in (OEM clamp and muffler) for less than $300 for this, it retains the stock valves function, was tuned for the N55, and the hangers and pipe are in the same location so it’s plug and play. I wanted some more aggression but nothing too crazy, and no droning because I do a lot of miles in it. Since I do so many miles, it didn’t make sense to spring for a more expensive aftermarket piece, I also didn’t want something that loud. I grew up with an e39 and fell in love with the quad exhaust that generation m5 had, so that was always on my dream mod list. With so many other non-m car models in recent years running quad pipes, and since I’m not debadged or on the m sport body kit, I felt like it wouldn’t give off poser vibes. Plus the sound is great, honestly just what I was looking for. My first time doing an exhaust and I had it fitted in less than 3 hours in my little garage too, so a very easy mod.

Not to be too pedantic, but do you mean an MPE? There is no MPPSK for N55. There is a MPPK and an MPE but AFAIK they were not sold bundled together, like the MPPSK is for the B58.

If I'm understanding you, you cut the M2 muffler to basically function as an axleback exhaust? I'd love to hear how it sounds, do you have a clip?

The only thing I don't like is how you had to cut out your bumper for fit the quad tips. Maybe appearance could be improved a bit with a proper M Sport bumper, but either way nice job! Love to see people figuring stuff out on the F30.

Yeah I meant the MPE, I just couldn’t think of the correct abbreviation! And I don’t have one yet but at some point I’ll get one up, there’s a few other guys they have clips but most have a DP or other mods that influence it. My goal was an exhaust that I normally wouldn’t hear in traffic with the windows up in comfort, but I could hear if I cracked the sunroof or went to sport plus, the stock brapping on up shifts is more noticeable but not obnoxious too.

And yeah, my photos didn’t flatter the cuts, there are some weird reflections and dirt smudges, I’ll get a better picture once it gets a wash. Long term plans is either wrapping the fake diffusion section in gloss black or swapping on an msport bumper so I wasn’t too attached to this one, in person at a normal distance it looks factory IMO, or at least close enough for the average person. If this was my garage queen I would have thought twice about the cuts but I happy that it doesn’t look like a HS kid hacked it up.

Yup just bolted up just like the MPE, followed the instructions for installing that and didn’t have to do anything outside of that but the bumper
