Hi all,
I'm looking for a head unit compatible with F23... So I think a F22 EVO would do the trick, correct ? Also I mostly see Snap 680 / 665... Do we know if these versions are legit ? Like here https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/10050...yAdapt=glo2fra Thanks ! |

The harness takes the audio out from the HU to the AUX. The harness also has an audio jack socket 3.5mm as a back up; so you can take the audio anywhere you like. People like me for example, (I have RSE), my Android harness connects to my CCC which takes the sound to AUX-REAR and I can choose to also take the sound to AUX using the extra 3.5mm socket on the harness. In your case, the harness takes the sound to AUX and the 3.5mm socket also takes the same sound to AUX. So if you remove one of the two, the sound still gets to the speakers. I hope you understand now. Low volume BT calls - you can do a few things: 1. Android volume booster (will boost everything) 2. Lower Android media volume 3. Forget Android and go OEM BT calls (99% people here do this) 4. USB DAC improves all audio except BT calls & DTV/AUX (99% people here do this). Use headphones and listen to the output of the DAC; if OK inject the output into your AUX. You should have excellent audio. 5. use a hardware audio mixer/amp - I tried one but was not very impressed as I already explained in earlier post. I would do in order either: #4 & #3 OEM BT or #4 & #1 Android BT or #4 & #5 & Android BT |

This is entirely possible because: 1. I already knew the board was bending and did not want to press down too hard. 2. Visibility and mobility is very bad trying to plug it in when in position in the car. Solution - support the board: Board Bending Before Fastening Board Bending After Fastening *** I was hoping that the GPS antenna would not have an issue, but it did. *** *** So I loosened the cable tie, plugged in the antenna and then fastened the cable tie. *** *** You could try with a thinner steel wire for example, which will not affect the antenna *** Tomorrow I will test to see if this was it. PS. Some extra photos showing correct insertion of the main plug. Those plastic tabs/ears on the side of the plug have less than a paperclip's thickness height above the base. Is it true that head units from aliexpress (like MEKEDE etc) with Snapdragon 662/680 comes with different LTE modems for Europe and USA? I get version with label on back "North America". So, 3G/4G will not work in Europe?

I tried to install the firmware update I posted yesterday, using my SDCARD but no pop-up.
So I went to the car and plugged in the USB cables. I saved the file on the root of the USB I used last time for Ksw-T-M600_OS_v1.4.8-ota.zip. I inserted the USB, but nothing pops-up like last time asking me if I want to update. I tried with a brand new USB and the same thing. In Solid Explorer I can see the files OK. I also tried rebooting but again I get no notification like last time. So I tried with the old file Ksw-T-M600_OS_v1.4.8-ota.zip, and again it does not do anything. I tried on both USB ports, without any HUB. Is there a manual way of launching the firmware update? SOLUTION: You can even use an SDCARD inserted into the unit directly to make firmware updates. 1. Make sure your USB is being recognized and can read its contents Use Android Settings>Storage or a file manager 2. Try USB format with FAT32 (Windows) (may not be necessary but try) 3. Try USB 32GB or less preferably (may not be necessary but try) 4. If you have ksw toolkit installed you need to disable it 5. Upgrade Detection app - check (PERMISSIONS: Contacts, Files, Music and audio, Phone, Photos and videos, ADVANCED: Display over other apps, Install unknown apps) 6. Factory Reset (If you installed the “phone is starting…” mod it may be the cause) No there is no manual way of initiating a firmware upgrade. Last edited by conandrum; 03-18-2024 at 05:58 PM.. |

Simple home made app
Factory_Login_1.1.6.apk
I have made a small app using tasker for our KSW head units. If your unit has 070305 factory settings password you can use it straight away. Just install the apk file and run it. The purpose of this app is to save you from RSI by loging into your firmware settings instead of you having to do all that. So it navigates to your SETTINGS>FACTORY, then it enters the password and clicks the ENTER button. That's it. INSTRUCTIONS: 1. download file Factory_Login_1.1.6.zip.pdf 2. remove .pdf extension 3. unzip to get the apk file 4. install on your head unit If you need to modify the code you can do so too. I am attaching the xml files which you can import into tasker and play around. You can easily modify the password in order for it to work with your own device. INSTRUCTIONS: 1. download file Factory_Login_1.1.tsk.xml.txt 2. remove .txt extension 3. import task into tasker Last edited by conandrum; 03-22-2024 at 07:55 PM.. |

Choose file,
click upload, and close the window. The attachment appears inb the section underneath. Do you see errors? BTW. I am very curious to know where this option is. |

I do not have this option in my KSW head unit.
Looks like you are lucky with that. What unit is this? PS. please delete my email address in your last post. Thanks |
