I always reckoned that, with something like a GR Yaris, the 10% of time you were having a laugh in it would not compensate for the remaining 90% of the time when it might be compromised (or feel so) compared to some of the other hatchback options... I do admit, though, I have never driven one... But I do feel the same about the Hyundai N30 and I have driven one of those...

Perhaps they’ll go off servicing records for a ‘real owners’ database.

To be honest, if people have the cash and want to buy one then more power to them... I just don't see, long term, it'll be any more than a more expensive Yaris and I doubt there will be a huge 2nd hand market for them in, say, 10 years time, however few of them there are...
