How does BMW verify employment for corporate fleet discounts
Hi,
Just curious how BMW verifies your employment to get the corporate fleet discount. Do you have to get a letter from HR or something? My old company had the discount but my new one doesn't unfortunately. I still have my ID badge and business cards. I wonder if that would work. Thanks |

You can't just say you work for a company that earns the discount. You have to submit the form with your company's code on it, and most companies have a copy of it on their HR/Benefits website.
I submitted the form and no questions were asked. I actually left my old job after ordering as well. I printed the form with my name on it before I left in case my new company didn't get the discount, but they ended up getting it too. |

Doesn't sound like he lied. Just sounds like they didn't verify.
If I work at Bimmerpost and tell a CA I work at Bimmerpost and they don't check for my screenname, it doesn't mean I don't work at Bimmerpost. Just means they didn't confirm. I still was telling the truth about working at Bimmerpost. No biggie. |

He’s already admitted to a 3rd degree felony in New Jersey under 2C:20-4. Theft by deception Perhaps that’s “no biggie” to you Now I’m just curious if he is guilty of federal laws by lying on a credit app. Last edited by IK6SPEED; 05-22-2018 at 11:01 PM.. |

Very strange that they didn't get any sort of proof and just took your word. It's not like the dealership has a pool of credits they can just give out - all this needs to be sent back to BMWFS when the deal is finalized to be reviewed and if all the proof is verified, only then will BMWFS give the dealership credit for the fleet deal. You walked away with a fleet credit, good on you, but the dealership just took a loss on the deal because they set up for a credit they will likely not receive from BMW.

If he truly worked for them, it should be on his credit report, so it could be verified then. Last edited by IK6SPEED; 05-22-2018 at 11:12 PM.. |

I work at a company that's part of fleet. I told my sales advisor the name of the company I work for and that was the end of it and he added it to the deal. Yes, clearly a 3rd degree felony. Death penalty minimum. |

And your previous posts include to "contact me" leads one to believe that you do not work for the Company and can supply details of how and where you accomplished that. Perhaps you could not read between the lines of what people were looking for and if that is the case, my apology. As I mentioned, if you financed, your current (and past) reported employer is available on your Credit Report so it was verified there unbeknownst to you. |

I told someone else in a completely different thread to contact me if they need a lead on a NJ dealer. Who cares if he wants to tell them he wants fleet discount and provides his old employer's shit. If they don't verify it that's on BMW. Who gives a shit? |

Never said it was this thread you posted "contact me" either. Obviously the State of New Jersey cares as it's a 3rd degree Felony. |

That clearly infers that you are saying I said it in this thread and to contact me for details on how to "scam the system". In either case, let OP do w/e he wants. It's between him and the dealer and if the dealer doesn't verify then good for OP. |

Yeah I was only referring to aerostar's post not OP's. OP does sound like he's trying to get around the system a bit, aerostar didn't sound like that to me. Does that clarify at all?

I don't think they confirmed mine, just took my word for it. But why does it matter anymore? The corporate discount is worthless these days and less for some models than BMWCCA rebate.

In my case, the corporate fleet discount was much better than the BMWCCA rebate for cash deals.

The discounts are actually on bmwgroupfleet.com, but in order to get the discount you need to submit a form with your company's code.
