Hi Shawn,

May I please have the link for the E-sys software. I have an old version which doesn't appear to work properly after a recent software update after a recall to BMW.

Hey Shawn hope your well, having a odd issue with a headlight being replaced I have tried to code with esys by injecting cafd but receiving service WBDI_PLAIN when trying to code.

Also any chance you could send links for latest ISTA+, does it use the same psdz SDP files as esys? I have read you need to initialise/learn headlight into car first using ISTA

Do I need to change VIN of new headlight also?

Look forward to your reply send me a pm please

PM sent. If CAFD Injection fails, then you will need to flash ECU. By design, E-Sys and ISTA+ use their own PSdZdata, but you can use one single folder and the MLINK Command to create a symbolic link to other folder.

Shawn kindly provided me with links to E-Sys and BimmerUtility, thank you sir.

I don't want to pester him with questions, so thought I'd ask the BMW massif instead.

I've bought an 8.8" screen to to replace the 6 incher on my HU_EntryNav. As my car is a 2016, I went with the LCI screen - p/n 9387453 - which apparently doesn't have the blue saturation issue.

Am I right in thinking this would be an FDL coding, which requires Esys and BimmerUtility? It's not a VO coding?

This is a steep learning curve coming from VAGs where they do things slightly differently.

With BMWs, VO would be default hardware settings, and FDL is changing the options/settings within said VO modules?
