Probably an hour drive from S. NH but I have had good results by Nice Wheels in Ashland MA doing a couple sets of 18" Apex ARC-8's in gloss black powder coating. They mounted and balanced the tires as well. Turn around was about a week to 2 weeks depending on work being done and how busy they are.

$150 per wheel. They do run specials periodically if you are doing 4 wheels.

Your car looks sick - I use to have to have an E90 same color - its like glass that color. Thanks for the contact I need to retouch my wheels - Moving to RI 2 years ago from FL hasn't been nice to my wheels lol. Freaking pot holes

shop wanted $700 for all 4 wheels - seems a bit steep - I use to get them for $100 a wheel

Agreed, that's expensive, had a pair of wheels done last year and they charged $250. Apparently they raised their prices significantly.

Try these guys, a little closer to you. I haven't personally done business there (yet) but did meet up with them with my buddy for his speedster's wheels and he swears by them.

I actually ended up going to Alliance Auto Details in Nashua. It was about a grand for the wheels along with ceramic coat and mounting new tires. It was a custom color as well, deep purple.

I got another quote from a shop which was more expensive and didn’t include ceramic.

$100 a wheel is way too cheap for a proper powder coating.

To do it correctly:
1) Unmount tire
2) Strip the wheel, chemically or with sand blasting
3) Fill in and sand any chips
4) Bake in an oven and cool
5) Powder coat
6) Bake
7) Powder coat again (optional)
8) Bake
9) Clear coat
10) Bake
11) Mount and balance tire

I’m sure somebody will spraypaint your wheels for $100 but nobody can do a proper job for $100

Even though this would be an accurate statement for most, for me - this is an incorrect statement.

I use to have a shop down in FL that use to do it for me.. Bent Rim Repair - Best in FL - was a Venezuelan dude I believe, good man - I found him when he was renting a little spot in a plaza, now he is a big dog - https://bentrimrepairorlando.com/ https://www.facebook.com/BentRimRepair/

Granted this was a few years back, but he did every single thing you listed part of his paint process. And he would even fix the bends/scrapes for me if there was any. If you give him a custom color scheme, just provide him the color codes and he will do whatever you want.


For my E90 I went with a sparkling graphite lip with a gloss black face to match my Sparkling Graphite Metallic color on E90 - Can't find a pic to show on the car

For my F30 I just had him do gloss black on the factory wheels.
