Wheel+tire upgrade doublecheck
Howdy all,
I'm going to be upgrading my wheels and tires this summer after much deliberation. My F32 440i is xDrive, stock non-EDC suspension and I'm running the stock 400Ms wrapped with 225/45/18 Sumitomo HTR A/S PO3 (square setup). I'm staying square to keep xDrive and tire rotation good. New wheels are Aodhan AH11, 18x8.5 ET35, which will be wrapped in Pilot Sport 4S 245/40/18. Based on everything I've read this setup should be basically plug and play with no need for spacers or anything? I'll probably switch to coilovers when my suspension is due, but I don't really plan on changing it for a while. Thanks |

If you're not lowering, 245/40/18 will increase x-drive gaps by 4mm, since they're 0.3" shorter
235/45/18 will reduce x-drive gaps 4mm because they're taller. 255/40/18 will have same vertical gap as stock but fill the 3D gap due to broadness. I'd use 235/45/18 for best appearance and ride, or 255/40/18 for handling and appearance 245/40/18 is also fine if you don't mind the gaps but will look much better if lowered on eibach pro kit |

Ok cool. Worst case scenario I feel pushed to suspension upgrade early. Everything should be here next week, I can’t wait to ditch my all seasons.
