335i ignition coil replacement
l just got this back from the shop.
Ignition Coil Replacement: Cylinder 3 misfire present, found coil not installed in spark plug tube. recommend replacement due to potential unseen damage. I have a 2015 335ix (N55) with 70k miles. Stage 1 BM3 tune. VRSF intercooler and charge pipe. We have spirited weekend drives, but (unfortunately) minimal track days. Any reason why they shouldn't just check the spark plug and coil for damage and if they aren't damaged, just put them back in place? Is "potential unseen damage" legit? Thanks in advance! |

70k miles... have you ever changed the plugs and coils? If not, then this is no-brainer and you should replace them, especially if you track the car.

Thanks. I have not. I got it CPO at 30k miles, and don't know if they were done before. Should I be doing all of them?
