I also had the problem on my F30 335D, i changed both vacuüm pressure converters. The problem was solved for a month, today in the morning it was back again. I suspect an faulty vacuüm hose. |

Any updates on the re-occurrence? I have a 2011 335d with a very similar issue. Intermittent and usually at low throttle settings. I did a bunch of vacuum checks and everything was good but i replaced all the lines anyway. I have not changed the pressure converter yet but am seriously considering it given your post on 4/27/20. One thing I am not certain of: what does line 11/13 do? with the down-pipe off I see that it opens a small port by the turbine. Strange thing on my car is that the linkage does not move when I put a vacuum on line 13, it does move if I give it a little nudge with my hand and it stays actuated (open) until I relieve the vacuum. I even tried it with the car running, thinking that the exhaust pressure would assist with the opening but it does not. Is this supposed to be open at normal vacuum (25inhg)? Any info will help as I am still struggling to figure this out. Last edited by shaunwalker117; 11-02-2020 at 12:30 PM.. Reason: add contact |

The vaccum hose was indeed the culprit the second time round.
TLR Check vacuum pipes for any leaks, replace if old Check pressure converters and test for proper functionality as sometimes can be too slow for the actuator |

I bought myself a vacuum gauge and decided to test the vacuum circuit. I found the fault to be the pressure converted that feeds exhaust flap in the large turbo (blue hose). The flap would not close fully when you start the car so the exhaust gasses would not fully spin the small turbo. Changed the pressure converter and is like a rocket...... |

Also which exact vehicle do you have? If you have boost pressure deviation, you would need to do a thorough inspection of the post turbo intake tract and run a pressurized smoke test to identify the leaks.

I had this issue and after multiple visits to multiple ‘specialists’ who kept saying change the small turbo, I found one who did a proper inspection and found the vacuum lines to the pressure converters were fu**ed. Got them replaced and also changed both pressure converters and the car is running much better now and error hasn’t returned

Hi guys, got the same symptoms as you all and the exact same code, but on a N57 530d single turbo. Could y'all share a part code for that converter? Is it this one by any chance 11747810831? Thanks. And where would it be located? Hard to change at home? Thanks

Hi. I have a 535D with exactly this issue. I had my engine rebuilt after a chain guide broke apart, got into the oil pump and starved the engine and turbos of oil. Since the rebuild, I've been having this 244C00 code coming up with exactly the same symptoms. The garage who rebuilt my engine are very far from me and I can't keep going backwards and forwards up and down the country to have this investigated. When I went there last week for this issue, they said to me something along the lines of the vacuum lines to the turbos also go to the engine mounts and they suspected the engine mounts to be at fault. They coded the engine mounts off the car but the error persists. They did a smoke test on the hoses and they all seem fine. Any help would be appreciated.

Could you indicate which one is the pressure converter on the picture posted in above posts please. Your help is much appreciated as I have the same issue on my car and the mechanics struggle to find the problem. |

Hi All. Hope is well. Looks like I aint the only one with the boost problem (2nd turbo turning off) with fault code 244C00. I was prepared to start changing parts like pressure converter etc but thought id start with basics, and guess what? Fixed the issue for £30. AIR FILTER!!! Althought it looked fairly clean dust and debris do cause a lot of blockage and engine doesnt get the air it needs. Change it and let me know how it goes
