£901 per month for 48 months on salsac at 15k per year. Including insurance, maintenance, tyres. That’s for the top spec, around £750 for the base model.

I had a nosy in new car deals on autotrader and 50k after discount in it with a 35 mile quoted petrol plug in hybrid seems better value for the family buyer though drives worse than ev9 with a low cog |

I was definitely highly sceptical of KIA (hadn’t even considered it) until I went to the local dealership on a whim in 2015. The Sorento in the showroom was bigger, FAR better specced, cheaper, and just as quick and economical as the competition. Plus, the staff were down to earth and knowledgeable unlike the clueless/pretentious/dismissive twats that are often found at BMW, Audi, and Mercedes. We’ve had our 2.2d Sorento (second hand from a dealer, £44K list but paid £27K) and apart from a failed xenon headlight (warranty, naturally) and a new radiator (which was working fine but was replaced under recall) it’s been faultless. It’s comfortable, has loads of space (including 7 usable seats), and will quite happily lug our family of five plus 5 bikes on a rear carrier plus roof box plus trailer. Very happy with it.
