is MPPSK installed?
How can one tell physically if they have the MPPSK installed? I know on my last e93 i had it and think i even read it in some of the cars paperwork but i don't know if my current f33 440i has it or not.
i was just reading on shopbmwusa mppsk page that the kit comes with a valve to open and close the exhaust on sport and sport +... well i just did that in my bm3 software over the weekend and it works, so does that mean i have the mppsk installed? is there anyway i can tell for sure physically? the exhaust is much quieter than my last e93 but i did have more mods, just didn't expect the 440i to be this quiet.... gonna do catless DP's next month so i might should just wait before i say it's quiet if i find i don't have mppsk is there a recommended suitable aftermarket one that still retains the stock appearance but with a similar output sound level increase of the mppsk? also the bmw website selling them claims like 35hp increase. its just an exhaust and they are claiming 35 hp and 40tq tanx errbody, and have a good weekend. https://www.shopbmwusa.com/PRODUCT/5...-AND-SOUND-KIT

So back to my previously 2nd question, is there an aftermarket one that is functional over just looks and sound that folks recommend? |

MPPSK was not an option off the factory! It is a retrofit component. Even if you ordered it with the car, it would get installed at the dealership post-factory. At least in Europe. So there is no "box to check" as such, when you order. Mine wasn't either and got retrofitted post-delivery.
Also - MPPSK is not compatible with OPF cars (in Europe - MY2019 and later). If you are not interested in the tune that goes with the MPPSK, you can look at Akrapovic Evo, Remus and BMW MPE as alternatives, in that order. MPPSK is NOT just an exhaust as you write - it is an engine tune as well! Please do read the dedicated thread - it will answer all your questions: https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1304356

How do you know where it got installed?
Yes, you can order it at the same time as you order the car, the same way you can order a BMW coffee mug. But they don’t install it in the factory it gets added later. MPPSK, at least in Europe, has never been an option in the new car configurater. No such tick box. It has always been on a separate list of “accessories” / tuning add-ons.

The stickers under the hood are normal and per installation instructions. We all have them, but if it was on your window config sticker, that’s interesting…
Pretty sure however it was not a part of the car configurator. I have configured F36s at the time to see what price I end up with and it was never a tickbox option.

They didn’t put the stickers on mine but you can just look at the muffler it will say m performance in it and the tips plus the actual sound of the exhaust will be different from stock and also more midrange torque and power overall.

Indeed! When I was looking at my current car before I bought it first thing I looked under the car at the muffler and saw that oh so lovely "chrome" muffler with the embossed M Performance with 2 valves and that's all you need to see!

Also you can have them run the report to show whats installed. I actually just had the MPPSK added to my F36 at the dealer. Sadly had to take it back for a second time because the software wasnt installed the first time, only the exhaust was done. They told me it was ready for pickup and it was not. Luckily I was stubborn and went back to have them “redo” the software to find out it wasnt done the first time. They printed the report to confirm it was done. Car is so much fun now. And sounds great in Sport and Sport+.
