Oil filter N20 in Australia
Hi guys, first post here.
I've been reading a lot through the forum gathering information for my first oil change, I'm feeling pretty confident about doing it already, but now I'm kinda confused when trying to find the right oil filter, which I think shouldn't be that difficult. I have a 2014 320i N20, and for what I've read in some threads here, the Mann HU816x should be a fit. When I look it up to buy online, multiple Australian websites says that the filter it's not a fit for my car and the right one should be the HU816ZKIT, while in others international websites (and threads here) it says otherwise. Same happened with an Oil Filter Socket/Wrench that I wanted to buy, saying that the 76mm was a fit, when I read that the size of the N20 oil filter cap was 86mm. So I guess my question is, are the Australian websites accurate? Are the N20 engines here in Australia somewhat different from America? I appreciate any help, tips or information since I'm new to this world. Thank you. Last edited by rbgolin; 05-29-2024 at 07:11 PM.. |

Edit: So I figured that I was actually wrong about thinking that Mann HU816x should be a fit. I probably got confused about some information.
In the end, I bought the HU816ZKIT and it was the right fit, and the filter cap is 86mm. Last edited by rbgolin; 05-29-2024 at 08:20 PM.. |
