I8 shock absorber failure
After having bought an i8, 2 months ago, with bigger wheels, both front shockers have failed. The car as done 48k. Could the wheel size have contributed to the problem? Also, I am being quoted £3000 for the job, which uses BMW parts. Any advice please?

First, you’re posting in the wrong forum - you want the i8 forum, not this 3/4-series forum:
https://bmwi.bimmerpost.com/forums/f...play.php?f=487 As for larger wheels/tires being a factor, it might. Your replacements could be much heavier. The i8 came with either 7x20 or 7.5x20 fronts, and either 7.5x20, 8x20 or 8.5x20 rears in a staggered OEM set-up. What’s your replacement wheels and tire sizes? |
