f31 n47 The air conditioner does not turn on
Good afternoon. I'm asking for help from smart people. I have owned this car for a long time, everything is super everything worked great.
I have made a lot of upgrades: champ I replaced with entrynav sport wheel, heated leather interior. I did all the quotes myself. When it got warmer i noticed that the air conditioning was not working. No cold air. i thought the cooling system was empty. Checked with a specialist - everything is fine. The air conditioner turns on if the electromagnetic clutch is supplied with 12 volts directly from the car battery. The terminal from the car gets 11.2 volts, not enough to start. I have seen in some chats that people after retrofitting the nbt had a similar failure. I really hope that someone has experienced this and you can tell me what to do. There are no errors on the machine, i tried restoring cafd into fem and ihka, but it didn't help( |

This is a long shot, but are you sure your Ambient Air Temperature sensor is working correctly. If it gets disconnected, which is easier than you may think, the car thinks that the external temperature is too cold to activate the AC. It happened to my son car recently. Not a happy camper, since where we live it's above 100 every day in the summer

HVAC should be autonomous from the Head unit. It worked fine on my F30 when I had the HU and display disconnected during an upgrade.
Have you got ISTA? Maybe an A/C low or high side pressure sensor is bad. A common reason for not engaging the AC pump. As above, you can also get live readings of interior vs ambient temp sensors to make sure the HVAC controller doesn't think it's -50 degrees outside! |
