ODB2 not working 2012 335i
I had a check engine light come on and would like to check the codes with my C310+ scanner.
When I connect the scanner to the ODB2 port, turn ignition on I get some soft of communication failure and cannot see the codes. The error message is "communication error". The car recently has had a battery drain issue from something that I have been unable to resolve. After this started happening I get a message when starting up that some electronic devices will be shut off so am assuming it is shutting off ODB2. The battery is brand new and strong. If I find a way to disconnect the intelligent battery sensor, maybe this will allow power to the ODB2 port? Any suggestions? I am sort of leaning to the problem being a bad or corrupted footwell module that occured maybe a few months after switching to a new AGM battery. The dome light comes on after starting the car, doesn't go out and the battery discharged detected message appears and devices will be switched off message. At times, the doors would lock and unlock while driving and the display would randomly flicker all the lights off and on. Last edited by mousefarmer; 05-19-2024 at 10:04 AM.. |
