Buying from somewhere like Laings will always bring a premium, but as you say, you're on "the system" should you wish to buy again in the future (at retail preferably!).
Flawless prices for 2024 unworn Subs are creeping ever closer to £10k. That would be my choice over an older model. The Rolex warranty will transfer anyway. |

To add, I've looked at Flawless WhatsApp prices - end of April he had a no-date Sub under £10k, so I'd be haggling on his price.

Following the theme too......
Well we all know they copy the style. Love my SKX009 auto bought around 25 some years ago been through a lot of hard knocks and still does exactly what it says on the tin. Value for money has been tremendous. Consistantly runs 1minute a day fast but seeing what I've put it through, it's acceptable. I've replace the Jubilee strap with a new original and put a new inset to the bezel (not original), just can't stop wearing it despite the others in the box. You reminded me that I haven't worn mine in ages - and I still haven't got round to putting a decent dive strap on it. They're great go anywhere, do anything without having to be too precious about them watches. |

Just to follow on thought a quick pic of my collection was in order.
Pocket watch is a favourite although doesn't get a lot of use. I've been told that it's a Swiss watch made by Les Fils de Numa Gagnebin registered as Kaiserstunde dating from around 1900 and it has a Swiss cylinder movement. It’s unusual that it has 24 hour markers around the edge of the dial, they usually have minute markers, it’s likely therefore to have been made for railway use. Recently serviced and keeps fair time. Second pocket watch circa 1930/40 a little more robust and silver case. |

Not really into watches but my Accountant has a Nixie watch and I have never seen anything like it before.
He paid approx £600 for it and whilst it wouldn't be for me it was very striking!! https://science-gifts.co.uk/wp-conte...re-nixie-2.jpg |
