hey all! i’m trying to get fullscreen carplay on my 2018 330i, it has the nbt evo L, so bimmer code won’t work, i bought the map update on bimmer remote, what do i do? i dont want to do the firmware update as that’s just dumb money for full screen haha, thanks guys!

how was the process to install?

I already had ista installed on my laptop and could connect through my MG Flasher. Then all I had to do was setup team viewer and they coded remotely. Took about an hour.

You can buy a software on eBay, copy it into a USB and install it yourself. They usually sell it for $30 or less.

for the full screen carplay? or for the actual nbt evo version? becuase my version is too old, and i don’t want to pay $190 to update the firmware

This is exactly what I did, literally just loaded the files onto a usb drive and stuck it in the armrest usb port. Here’s the one I used (~$60):

You’ll need to send them your VIN first so they can verify if this is compatible for your car. My 2018 330i needed a WiFi antenna first ($10 on Amazon).
