P143C code relating to temperature sensor

Hi, everyone. I have a 2015 328xi. Yesterday, the check engine light in my car came on. When I retrieved the error code using a ODB scanner, the error code is P143C. When I looked at the description online, it says, "the coolant temp measured by the engine sensor and the temp measured by the radiator outlet sensor are mis matched, one of the sensors is faulty". When I called my mechanic to ask him about details, he said he would have to run a full diagnostic to see what is going on.

My question is this: is it safe to drive the car in this condition or can I risk harming it? Also, if if the radiator sensor is faulty, does the whole radiator have to be replaced? Thank you.

I have the same issue. Did you find out the reason?
