Spanish guitars start to sound through the operation room speakers: The Gypsy Kings cover of "Hotel California" (original by the Eagles). I guess my surgeon likes "The Big Lebowski" movie too. (English version: "Last thing I remember, I was running for the door | I had to find the passage back to the place I was before | "Relax, " said the night man, "We are programmed to receive | You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave")
Me: "Hotel California!"
Mask positioned on my face. Oxygen + anesthetics are flowing.
The music and my view distorts.
Me still uttering: "My mind is going. I can feel it... I can feel it..."
And so I inevitably passed the event horizon of The Black Hole.
Later I asked the anesthetist whether they only played that song. "No, the surgeon played his preferred music throughout the whole surgery. A variety. He's the boss."

Deactivating HAL 9000, the evil AI machine: "My mind is going. I can feel it... I can feel it..."
