To sumarize rather than read 43 pages is the a guy selling the cnc’d plate to make this install easy? Im interested in buying a brand new pump and having it installed along with a Pure500 and custom tune? Thanks! Would be nice if someone sold a retrofitted TU pump for the n55?

You can't swap the baseplate of the TU pump, so the only thing you can do is get a template plate that allows you to precisely mark the locations to drill and cut.

That's what i did. My main two posts are on pages 38 and 39. I bought a new pump, got the template, and used the template to modify the TU baseplate. There are a few other tweaks needed to get things to fit, like moving fuel lines, rotating connector, etc. For those you can watch the videos or read my notes.

If you read some pages back, you actually can buy a pump already modified from China. It wasnt a new pump though. Didnt even look like used Bosch IIRC... I wouldnt install it in my car. And even if you got that, the other "tweaks" are still necessary. So buying a 'retrofitted pump' only avoids you having to modify the baseplate.

I hope to hear what yours does in sound. With hood open during idle, it's more pronounced on mine, just to make things more clear.
Yeah I believe this is just the TU pump, it's much louder, more clicky/clatery.

I have just surpassed 10k miles running one with MHD's Stage 2 HPFP map on 95, everything good so far.

And, their flange should be very precise, so avoid potential margin for error on my template.

I wouldn't prefer that option because of compounding errors in measurements. There's at least two - outside distances, then bolt thickness - so if each are off by XXX amount, the total error could be 2*XXX. If i was going to create a template i would just do it directly with the sheet metal. This would basically just be re-creating what the flange looks like, but with my own sheet metal. I could then test fit/bolt that to the N55 engine to confirm its accurate. Then use it to drill holes in TU pump flange.

I have those calipers (you can see pics of them in all my photos of inlet comparisons/etc), but i dont prefer the template-by-measurement approach.

I think this will be my first post on this forum but my friend sent me this thread and it is quite intriguing. I made a YouTube channel and posted a video recently detailing my b58tu install, and made my own 3d printable template that fits on the tu pump to make drilling the holes easier.

That being said, this two piece hold down is highly intriguing. Main issue being how to remove the tu flange. I have a 3d scanner and will have a cnc machine soon. Would definitely be interested in making something like that.

Anyway here's the video I made, if your interested, there's a link in the description to maker world with my 3d printed template.
