Is my car already 10-20mm lower because of the EDC? I've read conflicting info here.

My last BMW was a manual 325i and I threw on H&Rs with Konis and it was awesome. Perfectly low and not too harsh or bouncy.

If I install these H&Rs (28832-2) am I going to be disappointed? Harsh, noisy, reverse rake? Help from experience would be appreciated.
I have an LCI 330 with edc so things might be a little different, but when I bought my car it had those H&Rs on it and I didn't like them. I have m aero stuff including the front lip and the drop was so aggressive that it limited the usability of the car, plus they were harsh in general. I switched them out for the eibach pro kit and I'm much happier - mild drop, no reverse rake.

I don't believe the xdrive F31s are lower with EDC, but probably the opposite. Others with more knowledge will need to confirm. Mine definitely had a noticeable wheel gap when completely stock.

Ok. Good to know. Thanks for the input.

Eibach sounds the way to go with the EDC. Much thanks for writing in.

If I were you, since I already have them, I’d just go ahead and install them.
Will you be disappointed? I say No. If you like and can live with the lowered look you will like the H&R’s. Other springs are generally a little more modest. Are they harsh? Yes somewhat. No reverse rake (for me). One other thing I’ve not seen mentioned yet, but you may not need a wheel re-alignment once you’re done. This was the case for me after checking, even with going from 18” to 19” wheels/bigger tires at the same time.

apologies for going a bit of a tangent/ newb comment here but I've just started reading into all these options and it appears that general recommendation is that even with lowering springs, the OEM SAs should be replaced as well + install of the F8x bump stops? Has anyway just replaced the springs themselves and kept the rest of the original factory kit?

I want to have a modest lowering and a bit flatter of handling but I'm not ready to commit to a full set of coilovers either.

Ok, it wasn’t very hard to convince me. I’m doing it. I’ll report back.

Got her back… H&R springs are great. Glad you talked me into it.
