A clunking noise to me is something is worn or loose. Most probably a suspension bushing in your case.
You can have a shop check your suspension components and steering rack for wear and play or since your asking here, you can try this yourself by jacking the car up in the air safely on jack stands and a level surface and using a pry bar, and start moving the suspension around with the pry bar to see if you see what the issue is. There area a few videos on Utube you can search for, as they go through this process, and what to look for. If you don't find anything, inspect your brakes and also for something more obvious as a loose lug bolt or bolts on your wheels. |
