A business would have to receive a mountain of referrals to start being passed to FCA for monitoring, and even then probably start with a slap on the wrist |

Just my opinion, if the Fakra plug ends for the radio especially need replacing, then that is an entire new loom, or at least until the next fakra plug after that.
A long while ago I accidentally damaged these plugs on my VW, ended up having to have them soldered and fixed. Radio reception was never the same again! Bought a whole new loom in the end - guessing that’s what would have to happen here? |

Just as an update, I got Insurance to pay me 1k extra via a bit of haggling. Not the best result (that would be still having my car) but better than where I thought i would end up.
Anyone know where I could get the Ghost fitted in South East London? |

Just out of interest did you have an alarm on the car? This is my worst nightmare. I currently use a disklock but may have to change the torx screws just as a deterrent.

This has just happened to me. Stolen exactly the same parts and cut the loom in a few places. Not sure what plugs they've cut off.
What made you go through insurance? Did you find out how they broke in? I have no broken windows or sign of forced entry. Just noticed my boot was wide open then realised there was no steering wheel or screen when i went to lock it |

This is why should put your key in a faraday bag so the thieving scum fucks can't use cloning tools. I think it's more of an issue with comfort access cars as the standard access keys need a physical button press before the signal is transmitted.
Although if your car has being scoped out by said scum, they could be lurking nearby with a signal grabber when you get in the car and copy it to a blank key. |
